EVinGhana (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our directory, calculators, newsletter and contact forms, how we use it, and the choices you have. EVinGhana is an independent information and directory platform and collects only the limited data needed to run these services.
1. Information we collect
- Contact enquiries: when you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number and the message you send.
- Newsletter & report downloads: to subscribe or download a calculator report, we collect your name and email address and your consent to be contacted.
- Business & partnership submissions: business name, contact person, email, phone, location and related details you provide.
- Calculator inputs: figures you enter are used to generate your estimate. If you request a report by email, the relevant inputs and results are sent to the address you provide.
- Ratings & technical data: to prevent duplicate votes and abuse we may store a hashed identifier derived from your IP address and browser. We may also collect standard, aggregated usage data (such as page views) to improve the Platform.
2. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request;
- to send you the newsletter or reports you have subscribed to;
- to review and manage business listings and partnership requests;
- to measure and improve the Platform’s performance and content; and
- to protect the Platform against spam, fraud and abuse.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your information on the basis of your consent (for example, when you subscribe to the newsletter) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Platform. You may withdraw consent at any time — see “Your choices” below.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform (for example, email delivery and hosting), under appropriate safeguards;
- where you explicitly ask us to connect you with a listed business or partner; or

When you contact a business found through our directory, your dealings with that business are governed by that business’s own privacy practices, not ours.

We use only essential cookies and local storage needed for the Platform to function (such as remembering your preferences and preventing duplicate ratings). We do not use intrusive advertising trackers.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe; contact enquiries are kept for a reasonable period to handle follow-ups.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe: every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
- Access, correction or deletion: you may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.

9. Children
The Platform is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
